Price Jones LLC, DBA PJ‘s Home Energy Services, formed in 2007 to provide a local source for energy efficiency solutions in the Puget Sound region. Leading members Detrick Jones and Amelia Price invested themselves in developing a company dedicated to helping clients live healthy and comfortable lives while reducing energy consumption. We offer direct-to-customer services as well as contracted services through alliances with other contractors and area utility companies. We hold contracts with Puget Sound Energy, Mason County PUD# 1 and #3, Cascade Natural Gas, Tacoma Power and Light and Clallam County PUD.

Managing Member History

Detrick K. Jones, President

With twenty years of professional work experience in the mechanical and structural fields, both in maintenance and diagnosis, he excelled in the automotive industry, earning a degree in automotive mechanics and the reputation of a fast learner and reliable employee. Through personal experience and studies, as well as courses at the community college, Mr. Jones was able to develop construction and carpentry skills.

Living in Oregon and California, Mr. Detrick Jones remodeled one and two story homes, basements, designed and built recyclable, sustainable structures, including his own home. Mr. Jones constructed structures such as a wormbox toilet and worm disposal system and other alternative systems. He is able to reduce energy and resource usage in retrofit and new construction projects, from energy efficient motor installation to using lean manufacturing options. Mr. Jones has installed solar panels on many of these buildings.

In recent years, until the beginning of PRICE JONES LLC, Mr. Jones worked as a shop manager for businesses where he was a machinist and robotics programmer respectively. Mr. Jones would like PRICE JONES LLC to be the leader in energy efficiency solutions which make the home, as well as other buildings, more healthy, comfortable, affordable and environmentally friendly. He is a Performance Tested Comfort Systems (PTCS) Master Technician, Energy Star Verifier as well holds other applicable certifications. Mr. Detrick Jones provides technicians PTCS trainings and offers utility companies Quality Assessments, as well as assistance with research projects. Mr. Jones would like to create blueprints for new energy efficient products and tools, and explore and test new opportunities for renewable energy usage.

Amelia E. Price , Vice-president

Amelia E. Price has been employed in the professional service and human relation fields for over ten years time. Ms. Price holds a degree in Occupational Therapy, is a Reiki Master and has had extensive, hands-on training in the areas of organizational psychology, program development and service planning. Ms. Price is experienced in providing professional health care services and consultations in the home, school system, health care centers, and as a traveler. Ms. Amelia Price utilizes her personal and professional experience and knowledge to become successfully self-employed with PRICE JONES LLC, providing energy efficiency solutions to clients with a focus on creating a healthy and comfortable home environment, all the while saving energy.

In the first two years of self-employment, Ms. Price has focused on training and working in the field with Detrick, gaining her Performance Tested Comfort Systems (PTCS) certification in building performance testing, duct restoration and sealing, including residential and commercial projects, retrofit and new construction. Ms. Amelia Price was responsible for managing the office, dispatch, business planning and development, employee training, marketing, as well as budgeting. Ms. Price's efforts have recently been directed towards budgeting and overseeing current business operations.
